At the Forrester mansion, Eric and Quinn were going rounds about having crazy Pam throw a wedding in their home. Eric told Quinn that calling Pam crazy was inaccurate and had to stop. Eric remarked that Pam had attended many weddings at the house, and it was no wonder that she wanted to have hers there -- if Quinn hadn't talked Charlie out of it already.
Eric couldn't believe Quinn had done that to Charlie or that Quinn was reverting "back to -- " Holding up her hand, Quinn interrupted Eric, saying that if calling Pam crazy was off the table, then so was saying "the old Quinn." Quinn conceded that she might have made a mistake in talking to Charlie. Eric said it had been cruel, and he wasn't accustomed to cruelty from Quinn. That was all he'd meant by "the old Quinn."
Quinn replied that it was her home -- at least she had thought it was. Throwing a wedding there without her consent made her feel as if she didn't matter. For Quinn, it wasn't about Stephanie's portrait and never had been. It was about Eric putting his family before her. Eric replied that it was her family, too, and she was a part of it.
Because Eric had mentioned other family weddings, Quinn decided to talk about theirs. She reminded him that no one had attended it and that Charlie and Pam had walked out on it in protest. Quinn had never felt as if the family had accepted her, and the one thing that helped her cope with it was her portrait. Quinn believed that Pam was sending a very direct message by wanting Quinn's portrait off the wall.
"For one day, Quinn," Eric responded. Quinn insisted that Pam was trying to say that Quinn didn't exist, and Quinn and Eric didn't exist as a couple. It hurt Quinn, and she felt it should hurt Eric, too. Quinn said she never asked a lot from Eric, and it was hard for her to be vulnerable with him; however, she needed him to respect her when she said she needed him to tell Pam and Charlie that they could not get married there.
Quinn offered to host the wedding, just not at the house. She didn't want to argue, but she wouldn't budge on it. Eric didn't want to argue, either. He'd just wanted to return home, kick off his shoes, have a drink, and spend the evening with his wife. Instead, he'd returned to chaos and a portrait being stomped on.
Eric declared that they'd host the wedding at the house, and he wouldn't budge on it, either. Turning to leave, Eric decided he needed air. Quinn asked where he was going, and he said to see Thorne. Eric wanted to step away before one of them said something they could regret.
At Katie's house, Donna wheeled in some bags and called for Katie and Thorne. No one answered, so she sent Katie a message, asking if Will would be dropped off.
On a table, Donna found a Forrester boutique bag and a card from Katie, who'd left Donna something from the Intimates line that she'd thought Donna would like. In the bag, Donna found a pink, three-quarters corset bra and panties set. She flashed back to modeling lingerie for Eric and recalled romantic times with him.
Later, Donna was modeling the lingerie for herself in an oval, full-length mirror in the living room. She heard noises outside and assumed Will was home. As she scurried to find some cover, she ripped her panties seam. Someone started unlocking the front door. Donna grabbed three oversized sofa pillows and ducked behind the wall off the stairs.
Eric entered and saw Donna by the stairs. All the pillows covering Donna had fallen except for one that she gripped in front of her. "Donna?" Eric said.
"Honey bear," Donna responded. Dropping the pillow, she unabashedly strode out in front of Eric. "Isn't this a surprise?" she asked and giggled.
At the hospital, Brooke leaned over Bill as he opened his eyes. She said that he was back by her side, and she asked if he knew their names. Bill uttered that she was Brooke, and he was Stallion. She said it was close enough. Wanting him to stay awake, Brooke waved a single bill of money beneath his nose. With one waft, Bill moaned and said it was a hundred. Amazed, she told him that he was good. "I am now," he replied.
Brooke rushed into the corridor. There, Katie, Liam, Wyatt, and Ridge were still debating about what had gone on at Bill's house. Brooke told them to get the doctor because Bill was awake. Everyone dashed into Bill's room except Thorne and Ridge.
Later, Thorne wondered if he and Ridge should have gone in Bill's room just to see what Bill might be telling people. Ridge reasoned that they didn't even know if Bill could talk or remember. Ridge suggested they let Bill heal and then deal with Bill's lies later.
Back in Bill's room, a nurse assisted Dr. Chester with checking Bill as Katie, Brooke, Liam, and Wyatt looked on. Dr. Chester was impressed that, given the fall, Bill only had a concussion. He said Bill was a very lucky man. Gazing at Brooke, Bill agreed and said he'd never forget it.
The doctor and nurse left, and Bill joked that his loved ones didn't think he could handle a little fall. He asked how Will was. Gripping Bill's hand, Katie said Will was fine. She was glad that she didn't have bad news for the boy, whom Donna was watching while she stayed at Katie's house.
Dr. Chester returned to say he needed to run some tests. Katie, Liam, and Wyatt exited. Brooke took Bill's hand. He asked her not to leave. She said she wasn't going anywhere, and she'd be right outside the room.
Brooke went into the waiting area. There, Ridge was alone. He was glad to hear from her that Bill was awake and talking. Brooke quipped that she was sure Ridge was. Ridge replied that he wasn't being funny. Ridge hadn't wanted Bill to die or for any of it to happen. She said Ridge just hadn't wanted Bill near her.
"Exactly," Ridge responded. "But you brought him back. He came back because of you."
Dr. Chester approached to say that Bill was asking for Brooke. Ridge said that Brooke had heard the doctor; Bill was asking for her. Brooke strode back to Bill's room, and Ridge sighed.
Back in Bill's room, Brooke sat down, and Bill pushed the hundred-dollar bill back into her hand. She was surprised that he'd been holding it the whole time. She thanked him, but he replied that it was she who should be thanked. She asked if he was in pain. Bill hurt everywhere, but he said he was breathing, he was there, and so was she.
Bill stated that going over the balcony had knocked some sense into him and that big skull of his. Bill had spent his whole life trying to be the toughest, the best. He asked what it had been for. "The only thing that matters -- I see it so clearly now," he told Brooke. Brooke didn't know what to say. He didn't want her to say anything, but there was something he wanted her to do.
Bill asked Brooke to take his sword necklace off him. She asked if it was bothering him. "You have no idea," he said in a whispery voice. Bill wanted Brooke to remove it and even throw it away if she wanted to. Brooke didn't think he really meant that.
Bill said he'd worn it for "so many years." Initially, it had been like protection against his father, and it had become protection against any enemy. It had reminded him to fight and be a warrior. Becoming emotional, Bill stated that he didn't want to be that man anymore, the man that had driven Brooke away. He'd still be a warrior, but he believed there was a better way to fight.
"So, please, Brooke, take it off," Bill requested. Brooke complied, and he grunted as he lifted his head to assist her in accessing the clasp. Brooke wound the necklace in her hands as she sat back down.
Bill took Brooke's hand. He wanted to say something while they were alone. He said he'd never again have anything close to what they'd had. Brooke had been his core, his guide. He'd had her love, and he'd thrown it away. Bill no longer wanted to be the bully who'd worn the necklace. He wanted to be the man whom he should have been, the man she'd needed him to be.
Bill figured it was hard for Brooke to believe and would take a lot to prove to her, but determined to do it, Bill decided not to press charges against Thorne and Ridge, as the man Bill had been before would do. Bill didn't want to be obsessed with revenge. He'd decided to choose forgiveness, and he hoped Brooke could do the same for what he'd done to them.
Bill stated that he and Brooke had been each other's greatest loves. They had incredible memories, and they could make more. "Bill..." Brooke uttered. Bill declared that he'd start his life over that day, and he believed that she could do the same. He said that she could help him make it the moment that changed everything if she'd give him one more chance.
Bill promised to not let Brooke down and to make her the happiest woman in the world. He told her that she knew he could because he'd done it before. "After all, I'm your stallion," he said and neighed. Bill groaned in pain, and Brooke told him to take it easy.
Bill said that he would after he'd said four more words. "Come back to me. Come back to me, Brooke," Bill requested, and Brooke shed a tear as she gazed at him.
At Katie's house, Eric was disconcerted by Donna in lingerie. He asked when she'd arrived in town. She said she'd gotten there that day, and he asked if she'd arrived dressed like that. Donna replied that she hadn't, but giggling, she modeled her outfit and asked what he thought.
Eric stared around in embarrassment and said she looked amazing. For Eric, it was wonderful to see her, but by the way she was dressed, he assumed that she wasn't alone. Donna explained that Katie had gifted her something from the Intimates line, and Donna had decided to try it on because no one was home. Eric noted that he'd arrived at that point.
Donna was thankful that Eric hadn't been Will. Eric grabbed a robe out of her Forrester bag. He put it on her, saying that he'd already had one medical event that year.
Later, Donna was telling Eric that it had worked out that she'd be arriving at Katie's house around the time Will would arrive home. It meant that someone would be there for Will. Eric seemed distracted, and she asked what was wrong. He didn't want to dump his problems on her. Donna said she might be an ex-wife, but she still cared about him.
Eric began by saying that Pam and Charlie were engaged. Donna got excited about the idea of another wedding and said Eric could make a business out of it. Eric wished that Quinn had Donna's enthusiasm. Donna gleaned that Quinn didn't want the wedding at the house, and Eric replied that Quinn thought Pam was crazy. "Ah, hello! She is!" Donna exclaimed.
Donna reminded Eric that Pam had doused Donna with honey and turned her into bear chow. Eric remembered. Donna stated that there was a wedding, though, and that trumped everything. Donna understood why Pam wanted to get married in her sister's house. Eric wished Quinn could see things the same way.
Donna advised Eric tell Quinn to get with the program -- the same way he'd done with Donna. Chuckling, Eric mimicked Donna's "get with the program" tone and joked that it had worked so well on Donna, who'd go off and do whatever she wanted to do anyway. She laughed with him and said that happy look on his face had been what she'd been waiting for. Eric replied that she brought it out in him, and it had been exactly what he'd needed.
Donna loved weddings. Eric remarked that there had been many in the house. She recalled one wedding in particular and said they'd shared many memories. Eric claimed that he hadn't forgotten a single one of them, and Donna decided to put him to the test.
Donna asked about their first kiss. Eric replied that it had been a wet one. A flashback of Donna and Eric kissing by the Forrester pool played, and Donna congratulated him on remembering. She asked about his wedding vows. She bet he didn't remember them but stated that she remembered them.
A flashback of Donna and Eric exchanging wedding vows in front of the Forrester fireplace played. Donna said that they'd had their moments, and "now," they were two exes who were strolling down memory lane. She didn't regret a moment of it.
Taking Donna's hand, Eric recalled how significant her vows about uniting the family had been because of what had been going on at the time. Donna remembered Stephanie, Felicia, Pam, and practically everyone hating her. It hadn't mattered to Donna because she'd had her honey bear. Eric said Donna had started to win "them" over.
Scoffing, Donna replied that she didn't remember that part. Eric guessed it had been wishful thinking. Eric stood to leave. He said it had been wonderful to see her, and he didn't want her to be a stranger. Donna doubted that he really wanted her knocking on his door.
Eric claimed to pride himself on being neighborly, and he said Quinn and he would be of service if Donna needed it. Donna guessed she knew where to go if she needed honey.
In the hospital corridor, Thorne was with Ridge in the waiting area. Katie sauntered up with Wyatt and Liam, who wondered where Brooke was. Thorne said she was in with Bill.
Ridge stated that he and Thorne shouldn't have gone to Spencer's house. Disagreeing, Thorne said Bill had needed to hear them out. Ridge concluded that it had resulted in them being out there, and Brooke being in there with Bill.
Ridge stated that he was grateful Bill had pulled through. The sardonic Wyatt asked if he'd heard Ridge right. Ridge insisted that he hadn't wanted any of it happen. "Detective Sanchez," Liam murmured in a warning tone as the detective strode off the elevator and over to the group.
Sanchez had gotten word that Bill had awakened, and Sanchez wondered if Bill could have visitors. Thorne stated that Brooke was in with Bill, and Sanchez remarked that he wanted to see Bill. Thorne indicated that Bill needed to rest. Sanchez replied that Bill could get his rest, but at that moment, Sanchez needed Bill's account of how he'd gone over the balcony.
Dr. Chester appeared, and Sanchez asked if he could question Bill. Dr. Chester agreed to allow it if Bill was up to it. Thorne remarked that Sanchez already had Thorne and Ridge's statements. "And now, I'd like to ask Mr. Spencer," Sanchez snapped, and he strode over to Bill's room.
In Bill's room, Brooke thanked God that things hadn't been worse for Bill. Bill said he'd been thinking a lot about why he'd survived a fall that should have killed him. She couldn't believe Ridge and Thorne had done it. Bill reasoned that it might have been necessary to get them there. Touching her hand, Bill told Brooke that he'd never stopped loving her. He believed that she hadn't stopped loving him, either, and that they could have their life back.
Brooke wanted to trust that Bill had changed. She guessed that time would tell. Bill insisted that he was committed to being the best version of himself that he could be. He'd be the man whom she deserved, and all she had to do was agree to it.
Brooke believed that Bill was serious; however, she asserted that she was married to Ridge, and it wouldn't change. Bill supposed he shouldn't expect her to agree right away, but he didn't want her to ever doubt how much he loved her.
Dr. Chester and Sanchez entered, and the doctor told Bill that it was up to him if he wanted to answer the detective's questions. Ridge appeared in the doorway behind them, and Sanchez asked him to leave. Bill said that Ridge should stay for it.
Dr. Chester, Sanchez, and Ridge entered Bill's room and closed the door. Sanchez remarked that Bill had been there before, and Bill said he'd had an unlucky streak. Sanchez noted that Ridge seemed to always be involved in that unlucky streak. "I suppose he's on a run of his own," Bill replied. Sanchez said that Bill could ask for Ridge to leave at any time.
Sanchez stated that he wanted to get Bill's side of the story about the accident, which was what Thorne and Ridge had called it earlier. "Is that so?" Bill replied. Because men who hated Bill had been involved, Sanchez found it hard to believe Bill had gone over the balcony by accident. Sanchez asked if it had been an accident and if Bill wanted to press charges if it hadn't been.
Back in the corridor, Wyatt, Liam, and Katie wondered how things were going in the room. Thorne asserted that he was a part of it, too, and should be in there.
Thorne charged into Bill's room. Wyatt, Liam, and Katie followed him, and Bill noted that the gang was all still there. As everyone crowded the room, Dr. Chester became concerned about his patient, and Sanchez asked if whatever the others wanted could wait until the questioning was over. Bill said he was fine, and he told everyone that they were free to join the party.
Sanchez asked that no one interrupt the questioning, and he directed Bill to say what had happened. Bill explained that Ridge and Thorne had shown up at his house with threats, and it had turned into an altercation. Sanchez assumed Ridge and Thorne had been against Bill. Affirming it, Bill said Ridge had pushed Bill toward the balcony, and Bill had gone over.
Sanchez assumed Bill wanted to press charges. Bill revealed that he'd thrown the first punch, and it had been an accident. Bill didn't believe that Thorne and Ridge had intended to push Bill over the balcony. Thorne and Ridge stared sarcastically at Bill, but Brooke smiled at Bill.
Later, Sanchez had gone, and Dr. Chester was giving Bill a good report on his condition. Except for the concussion, everything looked good. Even so, the doctor wanted to hold Bill longer for observation. Bill balked at it, but Wyatt told Bill to listen to his doctor. Turning to leave, the doctor said he'd check on Bill later.
Wyatt and Liam turned to leave after the doctor had gone, but Bill stopped them. Ridge decided that he wanted to say something. "Thank you," Ridge said. Bill joked that he'd had Ridge squirming there for a moment. Wyatt quipped that Bill was full of surprises.
Bill noted that the biggest surprise of all had been waking up to all of them surrounding him. It meant a lot to him. Lifting his neck, he asked if his sons noticed anything. "The sword necklace?" Wyatt asked. Liam wondered where it was.
Bill told them that he'd taken it off, and it was staying off. Bill declared himself a changed man. To Katie, Bill said he'd be the father that deserved to spend every minute with his son. His children would be his priority, and that included Liam and Wyatt. Bill knew that it was hard for his sons to believe it, but they would see it over time.
Bill didn't want to be a man who preached family first but then did the opposite. He claimed to be as disgusted by that man as his sons were. He was sorry for hurting Liam and Wyatt and asked if they could all move forward from that point. Wyatt patted Bill's shoulder, and Liam seemed emotionally affected.
Bill stated that he hadn't had much use for apologies because actions spoke louder than words. Bill hoped that the fact that Ridge and Thorne weren't in custody meant something. Bill said he wouldn't go back on his word, and he was committed to making his changes. "In the words of the old Dollar Bill, 'You can take that to the bank,'" Bill stated.
Ridge rolled his eyes, but Brooke and Bill grinned at each other.
At Forrester, Brooke told Ridge that Bill would soon be released from the hospital. Ridge wondered how Brooke had known about the news, and she responded that she had checked on him. She admitted that she was glad Bill was all right and that he hadn't pressed charges against Ridge and Thorne. Ridge said that Bill had thrown the first punch, and that was the reason he had not pressed charges.
Brooke insisted she was just grateful. Ridge told Brooke that Bill had to have had another motive. He figured Bill wanted Brooke in trade for not pressing charges against Ridge and Thorne. Brooke insisted that Bill was a changed man. Ridge scoffed. Brooke said that Bill had removed his sword necklace. She had it in her purse. Ridge pulled it out of her purse and smashed it.
Ridge said that he believed Bill had proposed a deal that if he didn't press charges against Ridge and Thorne, he would have access to Brooke. Brooke reminded Ridge that he and Thorne could have been arrested for attempted murder. Ridge scoffed, and Brooke looked disgusted. Ridge warned that he didn't want Bill to purse Brooke.
At the hospital, Bill asked the doctor to release him. "You've kept me for observation long enough," Bill said. Justin tried to get Bill to be patient. The doctor reminded Bill that he'd been a "very lucky man." He added that Bill could have been killed with a fall like Bill's from the balcony at his home. The doctor promised to release him as soon as he could finish the paperwork, and he left.
Justin noted that Bill had dodged another bullet. Bill responded that it told him "there's a reason I'm still here." Bill lamented that he should have permitted Liam to run the company because he would have avoided a lot of grief. "I'll know better next time," he said. Justin wondered what Bill had meant. Bill explained that he and Brooke weren't done yet. "Not by a long shot," Bill said.
Bill told Justin that he had removed his sword necklace because he'd first started to wear it "as some sort of protection," but then it had only "reminded me to fight." Bill felt he'd alienated everyone he loved. So, he wanted to get rid of the necklace. A short time later, Bill was impatient that the doctor had still not released him. Justin left to find out what the delay was. Bill pulled out his phone, and Ridge entered. Ridge said he'd arrived to check on Bill and his new image.
Bill said that Ridge had to have wanted to thank him again for not pressing charges. Ridge said he'd heard all the big speeches that Bill had given to Katie, Liam, and Wyatt. Ridge added that he understood Bill had given his necklace away to Brooke as a symbol that he wanted to become a better person and move beyond his past. Bill agreed. Ridge noted that he saw Bill as "the man behind the curtains," taking advantage of people. He warned Ridge that Brooke was not available. "Stay away from her," Ridge advised.
At the Forrester mansion, Quinn tried on a witch's hat, and Eric entered the room. She asked if he liked her costume, and Eric said he felt he was in for "toil and trouble." Quinn worried that Eric was angry with her. She knew that he felt she was a horrible person because she didn't want Pam to get married in the house.
Eric defended Pam and said she'd had her heart set on it. Quinn defended her stance and said that Pam felt Stephanie was still the Forrester matriarch; however, Quinn was the matriarch, and Pam needed to accept it.
Quinn apologized for having put her foot through the portrait of Stephanie. Quinn maintained that she'd held Stephanie's legacy "in the highest regard." She added that it had been an accident, and she felt bad about it. Eric looked doubtful. Quinn maintained that Pam had a lot of nerve to make demands.
Eric asked Quinn to "be a little more patient where Pam is concerned." Quinn balked that Pam had been trying to undermine Quinn's authority. Eric argued that Pam had no one. She had lost her sister and mother, and the Forrester home was important to Pam.
Eric added that Pam only wanted Stephanie's portrait on the wall in place of Quinn's portrait for a few hours, and it meant no disrespect to Quinn. Eric encouraged Quinn to find some compassion for Pam because she and Charlie were embarking on a new journey together, and she wanted to do it in a place where "she feels safe and loved."
Quinn didn't want Eric to be disappointed in her. She realized that Eric felt as strong about having Pam's wedding in the house as Quinn was opposed to it. She didn't want to argue with Eric about it. She agreed that Pam could get married there. Eric thanked her and reminded her that she was a big part of his family. They embraced.
At Forrester, Pam and Charlie discussed that Quinn had forbidden Pam from getting married at the Forrester mansion. Pam maintained that the old Quinn had returned. Pam explained that the house was important to her because it was her family's home and the Forresters had all been good to her. Pam mentioned her mother, and Charlie noted that she rarely spoke about her mom. He invited her to share her feelings.
Pam flashed back to when her mother had died on the beach in the arms of Pam and Stephanie -- just the way she had wanted to. Pam said it had been peaceful, and she was emotional. Charlie promised to be her rock and that she could rely on him "every single day."
Charlie said he was happy and grateful that Pam had agreed to be his wife. "I love you so much," Charlie said. They were both tearful as they embraced.
At the Forrester mansion, Pam showed up and saw Quinn with her witch hat on. Pam said that she planned to get Stephanie's portrait restored and hang it above the fireplace when she got married there, "and there's nothing you can about it."
Quinn advised Pam to "put a sock in it." Quinn shared that she and Eric had decided that Pam could have her "damned wedding in my house." Pam was surprised. Quinn told her she should be expressing thanks. Pam told Quinn that it was her first wedding and the first time she would ever say her vows, and Quinn had a lot of nerve, calling her marriage a "damned wedding." Quinn sighed.
In the Forrester CEO's office, Brooke was deep in thought as she stared at Bill's sword charm. Eric entered, looking for designs. He found them on the desk and asked her if Bill was getting out of the hospital that day and if she was sure Bill wouldn't press charges against Eric's sons.
Brooke said Bill was tired of violence and conflict and wanted to change. Eric had heard that before from Bill. Brooke insisted that Bill was committed to it. Eric was empathetic to Bill and glad that he was okay, but Eric believed that Bill, ruthless to the core, couldn't change.
Brooke replied that living ruthlessly hadn't made Bill happy. Eric wondered when happiness had become Bill's priority. She said Bill was focused on his family and wanted to repair all the relationships that were most important to him. Eric didn't trust Bill and told Brooke not to, either.
Eric claimed it wasn't an easy thing to say. Brooke was surprised because Eric had been the one to teach her the value of second chances. Eric hadn't lost his faith in people. He still believed that one could change with the right motivation, but one had to examine just what Bill's motivation really was.
Brooke insisted that Bill was motivated by his family and the need to regain his family's trust. In her view, Bill wanted to be a reliable father and role model. Though Eric didn't doubt it, he felt that Bill's change had more to do with her than she was willing to admit. Eric asked if Ridge was right in his belief that the driving force behind Bill's motivation was his feelings for Brooke.
Sighing, Brooke insisted that Bill was merely grateful to her for supporting his relationship with Will through the custody battle, and that was it. Eric said that Ridge thought there was more to it. Brooke retorted that Ridge always thought there was more when it was about Bill. She conceded that Bill had a long list of wrongs, but she believed it was getting longer, not shorter, because Bill didn't want to hurt people anymore.
Leaning into Brooke, Eric told her that Bill had been married to her and still felt a connection to her, and those feelings didn't just go away. Brooke insisted that she wasn't vulnerable to Bill, but Eric replied that Ridge thought differently. She remarked that her husband was too angry to see clearly, and it wasn't Bill's state of mind that worried her.
Eric decided to get back home, but first, he had to say that he believed she was getting caught between Bill and Ridge again. Eric left, and Brooke resumed staring at Bill's sword charm.
At the Forrester mansion, Pam was having a conniption because Quinn had said Pam could have her "damn" wedding in the home of Pam's sister. Quinn said Pam should remember that it was Quinn's home. Quinn also wanted Pam to show some gratitude. Pam asked if Quinn would cast a spell on Pam or turn Charlie into a toad if Pam didn't do it.
Pam didn't know why she'd be grateful to Quinn, who'd made things difficult for Pam by destroying the portrait and telling Charlie to call off the wedding. Pam accused Quinn of calling Pam crazy. Scoffing, Quinn said Pam had called Quinn a lot worse.
Pam guessed Quinn hated her because Quinn couldn't snow her. Pam figured Quinn had only agreed to host the wedding so that Quinn could snow Eric into not being upset at Quinn. Frustrated, Quinn didn't know why they were still debating it, and she asked Pam to leave.
Pam said Quinn still didn't understand how important it was to Pam. Quinn asked if she really had to. Quinn understood that Eric saw Stephanie's precious little sister as family and felt a responsibility to Pam. Pam corrected that, through her, Eric felt a connection to his past.
Pam said it was the same with the mansion, which was the foundation of Eric's life and the place where he and Stephanie had raised their children. The house was crowded with memories, history, and her sister's legacy. Pam was offended that Quinn was granting Pam permission to get married there. "Like it's your place?" Pam asked.
Pam said it made her sick, and Quinn's ridiculous portrait was an insult to Stephanie and all she'd stood for. Pam decided that she'd take Stephanie's portrait for repair, but when Pam grabbed it, Quinn said Pam wasn't taking it anywhere.
Pam began to argue, but Quinn sharply called Pam's name. Quinn asserted that the portrait was Eric's property, and Pam would not take it from the house. Pam insisted upon getting it fixed. Quinn told her to talk to Eric about it. Pam yelled that she wouldn't leave it there for Quinn to burn in her cauldron. Quinn yelled that Pam had no right to take the portrait from the house.
Pam replied that Quinn had no right, and the portrait was a tribute to Pam's sister, who'd never let Quinn treat Pam as Quinn did. Pam roared that Stephanie would never put up with any of it. Pam became fixated on Quinn's portrait. She went to the closet below the stairs and returned with a stepladder. Quinn asked what Pam was doing.
Pam said she was doing what her sister would do. As Pam climbed the stepladder, Quinn ordered her not to touch Quinn's portrait. Pam yelled that Quinn had destroyed Stephanie's portrait on purpose to hurt Pam, and Pam asked how Quinn would like Pam to do the same thing to Quinn's portrait.
Later, Pam had gotten Quinn's painting off the wall. Quinn ordered Pam to calm down and remember where she was. Pam quipped that it was different when it was Quinn's picture, more personal. Quinn shouted that Pam was the one making it personal and knew "damn well" that what had happened to Stephanie's portrait had been an accident.
Pam insisted that Quinn had put her foot through the portrait on purpose and asked if Quinn would like Pam to put her fist through Quinn's sneering face. Quinn ordered Pam to get her hands off Quinn's portrait. Pam refused, and Quinn yelled for Pam to let it go that instant.
"What in the world is going on?" Eric asked, standing in the foyer. Eric asked what Pam was doing with Quinn's portrait. Quinn accused Pam of trying to destroy it. "Like you did with Stephanie's!" Pam yelled. Quinn explained that Pam had just shown up there. Eric asked if Quinn had told Pam that she could have the wedding there.
Pam whined that Quinn had told her that she could have her "damn wedding" there. Pam screamed that Quinn had called it Pam's "damn wedding" and wouldn't let Pam take Stephanie's portrait for repair -- after Quinn had destroyed it. Pam couldn't stand the idea of it in tatters by the garbage bins.
Quinn stated that she'd never said she would throw the painting out. Pam replied that Quinn hadn't said Pam would have it. Screaming herself, Quinn said she'd told Pam that the portrait was Eric's property, and that "we" were going to have it repaired. Quinn told Eric that "this" was what Quinn had been talking about, and Pam was completely unreasonable.
Pam ranted about Quinn disrespecting Stephanie and putting down Pam's wedding. Pam asked how she was supposed to react. She yelled that Quinn had pushed her beyond her breaking point, and it wasn't the way a bride should be feeling for the happiest day of her life.
Pam couldn't take it anymore, and though it meant a lot to her that Eric wanted her to get married in his house, she couldn't do it anymore because of how Quinn felt about her. Pam yelled that Quinn had ruined Stephanie's portrait and "now" everything was ruined. Pam began tearlessly sobbing. Quinn rolled her eyes, and the brooding Pam looked expectantly at Eric.
At the hospital, Bill wondered if Ridge realized that Bill was still in the hospital and that, if Bill had pressed charges, Ridge would be the one waiting for release -- from prison. Bill didn't want to be "that person," though, because he was trying to practice forgiveness. Ridge replied that Bill wasn't trying to be a better person; Bill was trying to get to Brooke.
Bill claimed that he wasn't playing games. Though he wouldn't share the contents of the conversation he'd had with Brooke, Bill was willing to say that he'd told her the truth. Ridge didn't buy the overnight transformation and assumed Bill wanted Brooke. Bill warned Ridge that his insecurity was showing.
Bill asked what Ridge thought Brooke would say if she knew that Ridge was there with Bill. Ridge asked why he'd care if Brooke knew. Bill assumed that Brooke would be concerned. "About you?" Ridge asked. Bill replied, "About you."
Bill said that Ridge was there, accosting the man he'd pushed over a balcony, and provoking Bill could have serious consequences. Ridge quipped that it wouldn't go down like that because the new-and-improved Bill Spencer had already said he wouldn't call the police.
Bill replied that he wouldn't call because he could sense the insecurity dripping off Ridge. Bill wasn't impressed by Ridge's growling and said the littlest dogs made the most noise. Bill deduced that Ridge had to be nervous, and Bill thought that Ridge was right to be because they both knew that Bill was more of a man than Ridge would ever be.
Ridge replied that he'd just started to feel bad about throwing Bill off the balcony. "Oh, relax, Poser. Ugh. Ah, not Poser. That wasn't nice," Bill reflected. "Ridge. Relax, Ridge. I'm just stating a fact." Ridge guessed the "fact" was that Bill was a better man than Ridge. Affirming it, Bill said it was because he was a man of substance and commitment.
Ridge thought he should get the doctor to examine Bill's head again, because the only thing Bill was actually committed to was his own greed. Bill replied that he didn't waver in his decisions, and he went after things he wanted. "And we both know I usually get it," Bill added.
Ridge replied that if anyone got in Bill's way, Bill just blowed them over. Bill claimed to take responsibility for his actions and asked if Ridge did, too. "I'm talking about with Brooke," Bill clarified. Ridge quipped that Brooke was all Bill ever talked about, every single day, but Bill would not put a wedge between Ridge and Brooke.
Bill insisted that Ridge would let Brooke down again because he always did. Ridge assumed that Bill believed that he'd be there to get her. Ridge asked if Bill really thought Brooke would go back to him and advised Bill to think again because Brooke was smarter than that.
Ridge stated that he would never let Brooke down. Chuckling, Bill suggested that Ridge look at his track record. Bill asked when Ridge had ever not let Brooke down. In Bill's view, running away from promises to Brooke was just who Ridge was.
Turning the subject to Bill's track record, Ridge said Bill had taken advantage of Steffy and betrayed both of his sons. Katie hadn't trusted Bill with his own child. Ridge insisted that Bill didn't know boundaries and had never met a line he wouldn't cross. It wasn't manhood to Ridge; it was ego. Ridge called Bill a child in need of another necklace.
Just then, Justin arrived and asked what was going on there. Bill quipped that visiting hours were over. Justin said he had Bill's discharge papers and was ready to take Bill home. Bill was glad because things had gotten tiresome and boring around there. Ridge said that if Bill wanted to stay out of the hospital, Bill would stay away from Ridge's wife.
Ridge left, and Justin asked if Ridge had just threatened Bill. Bill asked if he looked threatened. Bill stated that the dressmaker was on edge because he thought Bill was after his wife, and everybody knew that Bill Spencer always got what he wanted.
In the evening at Forrester, workers finished changing the corridor display from a HFTF feature to an Intimates feature. In the photo studio, Steffy's team scurried around, working on last-minute looks, photos, and ads for the upcoming showing. Steffy glared at Wyatt when he lingered by the lingerie-clad Sally.
Emma was glaring, too, but her dagger stares sliced through Zoe, who playfully touched Xander during the modeling session. Doing her best not to get upset, Emma kept taking notes on her pad. Wyatt showed Steffy some of the shots he'd gotten. Excited, Steffy said they were ready.
Steffy complimented Sally's outfit and asked how it felt. It felt good to Sally, who thought it should because she'd designed it. Steffy gathered the models and said they'd done a really great job. She was proud of them. Looking at Sally, Wyatt, and Emma, Steffy added that she was proud of the whole team.
As Steffy chatted with Sally, Wyatt, Emma, Zoe, and Xander, Steffy was surprised to see Leo approach. She greeted him with a hug, and her team looked on curiously. Steffy introduced him as a top buyer for their European market. Leo was excited about Steffy revamping Intimates. Narrowing his gaze on her, he said he looked forward to working more with her in the future.
Later, Wyatt, Sally, Steffy, and Leo were alone, and Steffy introduced Sally as her designer and Wyatt as her social media manager. The four chatted a bit, and as Steffy asked Leo a question, she swiveled herself around until her back was to Sally and Wyatt. They backed out of the way as if they sensed Steffy was trying to get rid of them.
Across the room, Wyatt and Sally watched as Leo told Steffy that he was mostly in Los Angeles and had a place there. He asked how her daughter was, and she offered to show him pictures. Leo was hoping Steffy would like to get together, and he asked her to have dinner with him.
In Steffy's silence, Leo said he'd known and admired Steffy for a long time. Since Liam was married to Hope, Leo had thought it was a good time to ask Steffy on a date. Steffy expressed that she was flattered, but she wasn't ready. She was just spending time with her daughter. Leo understood and said he'd see her at the fashion show.
After Leo had gone, Steffy murmured to herself, asking why she hadn't accepted. Sally told Steffy that Sally and Wyatt had just heard every word of that. "Did you just turn him down? He's gorgeous," Sally pointedly asked. Steffy agreed that Leo was a total catch, but Steffy just wasn't in that place at the moment and didn't need distractions.
Sally noted that Leo was a pretty hot distraction. "Easy," Wyatt warned Sally. Steffy was still processing her breakup with Liam, and she actually liked being in control with no one to answer to. She enjoyed taking care of her daughter, and she didn't need anyone to fulfill her. She could do it on her own.
In the CEO's office, Pam was sad. Charlie asked what was going on, and Pam said that the joy she'd had for their wedding had gone. She felt that everything had been ruined because of Quinn. Charlie was miffed that Quinn was giving Pam a hard time.
Pam said she could feel it in the living room at the mansion. All the good energy there was just gone. Pam had never thought she'd say it; however, she did not want to get married at the mansion, and it was all because of that witch. Charlie asked if she didn't want to get married at all. Pam didn't know. She said she was scared.
Charlie was scared, too, and noted that he'd never been married before, either. Pam didn't think it should be so upsetting. He told her that planning a wedding was supposed to be incredibly stressful. She replied that it wasn't just about the wedding. She was really having a hard time.
The stuff with Quinn was conjuring up old voices in Pam's head. Pam was anxious and on edge all the time. She wondered if she was afraid of letting herself feel anything and guessed she was afraid of getting hurt again. It always happened when she opened herself up. Charlie said he would never hurt Pam.
Pam stated that she'd lost almost everyone who'd mattered to her in the world, and she just didn't want to go through that pain again. Charlie said he wasn't going anywhere, but Pam replied that one couldn't predict the future. He understood that she wasn't sure about the wedding and said that when the time was right for her, he'd be ready to be her husband.
Charlie wanted Pam to take all the time she needed. He didn't want to pressure her into anything. Pam stated that she was lucky to have someone like him in her life. She apologized and wished she was ready to be Mrs. Charlie Webber.
Pam removed her ring and placed it in Charlie's hand. She promised that one day, there would be a wedding ring on her finger. "I know it," Charlie uttered, and they hugged.
At Katie's house, Donna, Thorne, and Katie prepared to leave for a casual dinner at Quinn and Eric's house. They left Will with a babysitter and took off.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric reassured Quinn that it would be a nice, relaxing family evening, something they needed after what had gone on with Pam. Ridge and Brooke arrived, and Ridge was already wanting a martini.
As Eric and Ridge had martinis, Katie arrived with Thorne and Donna. Quinn greeted them in the foyer, and Donna handed Quinn a gift from the three of them. Quinn smiled but unenthusiastically took the gift bag. The three strolled into the living room. Quinn scowled, checking inside the bag.
Eric welcomed his guests and said it was a pleasure to be celebrating the Forresters and the Logans. Quinn crossed her arms, seeming out of place as the others chatted together.
Over dinner in the living room, Eric, Quinn, Ridge, Brooke, Katie, Thorne, and Donna talked about the Intimates line and the buzz it had created. They talked about the promo events surrounding it in Australia, and as Brooke looked over at Ridge and Quinn, who happened to be sitting by each other, Brooke flashed back to the two of them kissing in Australia.
Briefly, the Forresters and Logans talked about Donna staying in town a while to visit her sisters. Eric turned the topic to Bill. Kate said Bill was doing better. Glaring at Thorne, she said Bill had been lucky. Eric replied that his sons were lucky, too. Eric was amazed that Bill hadn't pressed charges.
Ridge murmured that Bill had gotten what he'd deserved. "Ridge!" Brooke admonished. Ridge wasn't sorry. He hadn't meant to throw Bill off the balcony, but his hate for Bill wouldn't change.
Later, the topic had just crept to Pam's wedding when Quinn received a call from Wyatt. Quinn got up to take the call in the foyer. Wyatt wanted to know if Quinn had gotten his messages about Steffy's changes to the Intimates line.
Quinn hadn't checked her phone, but she offered to meet at the office to talk. Wyatt didn't think it was necessary, but wanting a distraction, Quinn said she'd be there in a few minutes.
After the call, Quinn announced that she had to go to the office because Wyatt needed her. Eric asked if she was sure. Quinn brushed it off as no problem and bid everyone a nice family reunion. She told Eric that she'd be back soon.
Once dinner had ended, Eric and his guests had drinks, and Eric made a toast to Donna's return. Ridge toasted to Thorne and Katie and was sorry they had to deal with Bill. Brooke reasoned that Bill wasn't that terrible. "I mean, you and Thorne are standing here, and you're not behind bars," Brooke said. Thorne asked what Brooke meant and noted that Bill had started the fight.
Brooke said that Bill had shown mercy, and Thorne and Ridge could show gratitude. Ridge got triggered by the word "gratitude." Brooke stated that she wasn't condoning Bill's behavior, but they'd all made mistakes and done things they'd rather take back if they could. "You know what I'm talking about. You can't judge," Brooke told Ridge.
At Spencer, Justin wondered why Bill was at the office and not taking it easy as the doctor had advised. Justin still couldn't get used to seeing Bill without his sword necklace. To Justin, it was like Superman without a cape. Bill replied that he was more like the Dark Knight, Batman.
The superhero talk reminded Bill that there was a new movie that he wanted to take Will to see. Bill stated that he had to make sure Katie didn't mind Will seeing that type of movie, and it still bothered Bill that he had to run everything by her. Bill didn't know how that judge had ruled against him. It just didn't seem right.
Agreeing, Justin revealed that he might have something on the honorable judge, after all. Bill became animated and asked if Justin was trying to worsen Bill's headache. Bill thought it was a little late to be investigating the judge, and Justin replied that he hadn't wanted to say anything unless he'd found something. Bill asserted that Justin definitely should have said something, and he wanted to know what Justin knew -- "now!"
Justin explained that he'd reached out to some contacts to find out if the judge was really as clean as they'd thought. Justin had learned that, around the time of the custody hearing, the judge had had several clandestine meetings with someone, and every time that person had left, the judge had seemed uneasy. Justin wasn't sure it was significant, but Bill insisted upon finding out who the judge's mystery visitor had been.
Later, Justin was returning to the office as Bill ended a call. Bill said he'd wanted to see Will, but Katie had told him that Will was with the babysitter. Bill asked if Justin had learned more. Justin had gotten a description of the person who'd been visiting Judge McMullen around the time of the hearing, and it reminded Justin of someone he and Bill knew.
The mystery visitor was a certain designer who hated Bill and had just thrown Bill off his own balcony. Bill asked if Justin was saying that it was the Poser. Justin stated that he was still waiting for a photo identification, but it would be crazy if Ridge had met with the judge before and after the hearing.
Bill flashed back to the deriding things Ridge had said to Bill in the time leading up to the hearing. Bill remembered how Ridge had been so sure of what would go on at the hearing and that Bill had never had a chance. "Forrester," Bill said.
